Terms of Service (ToS)

This forum is based on the mutual respect of its members. While our staff of Administrators and Moderators will do their best to keep it that way, it's impossible for us to review every post. If you feel any post violates this concept, please use the Report button at the bottom of the post to notify us. All posts are the opinions of their respective authors and do not necessarily reflect the views of The Tech Diver. We are not responsible for posts' content, authenticity or accuracy.

Language or material that, in context, depicts or describes (in terms patently offensive as measured by contemporary standards for the broadcast medium) sexual or excretory organs or activities is prohibited. Profane, racial, insulting or mean spirited language is not allowed and is subject to moderation or removal by our staff. Also any harassment, cyber bullying, threats, or personal attacks of a member is not allowed and could be subject to immediate permanent suspension. If you feel that you have been attacked, please do not retaliate; instead use the Report Bad Post button at the bottom of each post to notify us. The Tech Diver retains all rights and privileges to all its editorial content.

Spamming or attempting to recruit our membership other than through authorized use of our commercial (market place) forums is expressly forbidden and such posts will be removed.

The creation of multiple accounts known as "sock puppets" for one person is prohibited on this forum and may be grounds for suspension.

Your information will never be sold or shared with a third party without your approval.

The Tech Diver staff may, at their discretion, remove any post which advocates unsafe diving practices, as defined by the major certification agencies of the scuba diving world. While The Tech Diver does not take an official position on these matters, The Tech Diver does encourage users to maintain safe diving practices. You and you alone are responsible for your diving safety.

The staff have the last word in any dispute and are responsible for interpreting the ToS. When they deem it in the best interest of The Tech Diver, they may edit or delete: avatars, pictures, signatures, posts and threads. They may suspend users when they deem it is necessary.

Membership is a privilege and we reserve the right to deny service to any person with or without cause or notification. If a member feels they have been unfairly denied service or has received unfair moderation, a request for review may be sent by e-mail to review@thetechdiver.com. Each request for review will be reviewed by staff that were not previously involved in the issue that led to the suspension or moderation.

There are certain forums where special rules are applicable. These rules are part of the ToS for those forums; acknowledgement and compliance apply as with other ToS conditions.

The Tech Diver reserves the right to add to or amend the ToS without any prior warning or consent from its users. By completing your registration, you agree that your The Tech Diver participation will conform to any such additions or amendments to the ToS.
